Masks Cave

This site is a favorite with our learner divers. This is a small cave inland from the site "Masks reef". This site starts at around 4-5 metres deep and drops down to about 8-12 metres which is perfect for introducing people to diving due to the shallow start off depth with the option to drop down a little deeper by just swimming off the top of the cave. More experienced divers are welcome to explore the cave, which is a fairly tight overhead that runs for about 10 metres with a near vertical exit hole at the far end. Despite the shallow depth, there is always plenty to see here with bream and wrasse swimming around everywhere and spider crabs and octopus hiding in the many holes that surround the cave. There is also a pair of European Spiny Lobsters living inside the cave with a large colony of Locust lobsters.
